More about hscoggin

I read constantly, mostly current events and non-fiction books. I occasionally read some fiction, mainly to "reward" myself for the non-entertainment reading I've done.

I'm an avid proponant of education - not (necessarily) schooling. Most people don't undersand the difference. We're producing millions of highly schooled graduates (high school and college; no real difference in the quality of the product) who can't think logically, and who have spent at least 75% of their lives up to that point being indoctrinated to believe that they're incapable of taking care of themselves, and that the government is the solution to all our problems. The average person today has no idea what the root cause of any of the various problems we face (the answer is government), but they're certain that the solution is the government - the same government that caused the problem(s) in the first place.
