Home Again

St. Louis, Missouri, United States
We were up early and down for our final breakfast in Scotland.  Harry and Isabella, the proprietors of Craigmoss guesthouse, serve a great breakfast.  I had a massive bowl of porridge (I hadn’t had that and it is a must when in Scotland)--I say massive as the bowl was like a vegetable bowl!  Wow that should stick to my ribs.  The others had various eggs, meats, and scones along with tea and coffee. All of it was delicious!
Once we finished we called a taxi and off we went to the airport and our flight home.  The plane left Edinburgh on time and in fact landed in Newark, NJ about an hour and a half early--the pilot said we had a head wind.  Sadly that is not good for us as we aren’t flying out until about 8:45 p.m. so we have about a 6 hour wait!  Yuck!  Waiting in airports is exhausting!  About 6:30 p.m. we were fussing that our flight had been delayed until 10 something when a call was made asking people to fill an earlier flight to St. Louis!  Well we jumped on the chance (wondering where our luggage would end up, but c’est la vie!) and off to St. Louis we went.  This flight was uneventful and landed in STL before we would have left Newark.  Amazingly, they had found our luggage and put it on this flight so the trip ended on a high note!
To say the least we had a wonderful time--of course, there is much we would still like to see, but now Scotland is not just a word. Now when someone speaks of Scotland we have visions of beautiful countryside, good food, and most of all, really nice people.  We can hardly wait to return!  Haste ye back as Collin and Daniela at Lundie View said to us and we hope to return soon.
