Today just a short report. Breakfast is early, Ali is knows we have to leave for the airport.

A handshake. Then your right hand on our heart. That is the real moroccan goodbye. You keep your friend in your heart.

We carry our belongings to the car, which is really covered in dust. And we have to return it clean and with half a tank of gas.

When we pass a gas station I decide to add a few liters of fuel to make sure it is half full. But the meter doesn’t change position. I also ask to have the car cleaned, but the ´lavage’ is broken. But no problem, they start to wash it by hand. 

That done, I decide to add another 5 liters to the tank, but the meter still indicates just below half a tank. They open the hood and start to take apart several components. I get nervous that we will not reach the airport on time, so I tell them to stop.

We start the car again and the meter suddenly jumps to three quarters. Apparently a contact issue.

At the airport our Mohammed is already waiting with a smile on the hot parking lot. He tells me we drove 2784 km (1730 miles) in Morocco. Soon we are inside and get ready for our flight.

The trip consists of much waiting, but I am now sitting at the gate in Paris. Our trip is almost over. Check in for Amsterdam is beginning. Home is waiting.

It was a very good trip. We saw much and met many nice people.
