Two Beauties & a Colourful SnackAbout Adventure

Hey Hey and a Big G'Day toya,

I just had the most wonderful weekend in Xian.

My buddy Angel and I finally caught up for the first time in many months and spent Friday night sitting in Subway Restaurant laughing and giggling our way through our assorted Subway delights which was followed by many hours window shopping our way around the city. She has the face of an Angel and a mind and mouth that run at the speed of light so whenever we do catch up I get to admire her beauty and she gets to talk and tell me about all of her misadventures.

There are usually a heap of them as it seems to come with her wicked nature. I also caught up with Luo Wei who I haven’t seen since our sad separation in July in Shandong Province.

We still constantly text and when she does have a free moment from studying, working full time for countless hours along with being with her mother we also do get to chat by phone. Sadly her mother is back in hospital and all the money she had saved to buy a computer to enable her to complete her second degree which this time has to be 'online’ was used to pay her mother’s hospital bills. Without a further degree she will never get further in life and as there is only her mother and herself she must obtain that degree. We met on Sunday morning and I gave her my little Travel Computer as I only use it when I travel and I’m sure I will either be able to go back to using Internet Cafes or (I was thinking) I should be able to buy a roll up keypad for my Nokia phone as it supports Word documents.

There is always another way to do things.
But the first thing to do is help those who need it more than you!

In between the company of two beauties I found time to snack my way around the Arts District near the city’s south gate and then all the way out to the Big Goose Pagoda which is a journey that usually takes me about an hour or so but this time it took around five hours as I dropped into all of the huge Computer and IT Buildings on the way and believe me, there are many of them. My Wizbang laptop is once again doing strange things that are identical to the strange things it was doing prior to its last three deaths. I won’t be able to afford a new home laptop and a new travel computer so I’ve had to change my thoughts. The best thing to do is meet somewhere in between in size and that way I will have the best of both.

On the other hand if it gets stolen or broken while traveling then I’ll have the best of no worlds and won’t be able to afford another new computer for along time after that. But hey that’s life mate and I’ll try the roll away keypad and phone thing and see how that works prior to purchase.

During my weekend ‘Snackabouts’ I found a tiny DVD player that plays all the latest formats and it only cost nine Aussie dollars. Over the past half a year I have not only purchased a heap of DVD’s but friends have also given me a hand full but most of them are in the Blue Ray format. My school DVD player only plays half of the movie and then refuses to play the rest so I have about twenty movies I’ve watched only half of and you guessed it, over the next few weeks I’ll be not only watching the other half of each movie but trying my best to remember what happened during the first half so I don’t have to watch it again.

The poor bugger hasn’t had much luck health wise over the past year or so.
Now once again he is beneath dark clouds fighting his way through to sunshine.
