Miami, Florida, United States
.All went like clockwork. We have taken a cruise from Miami before, so it was easy finding our way around Miami. As usual, it was "hurry up and wait"! But we knew how much the waiting would take and that always makes it easier.
.
Basically, it was fly into the Miami Airport, take a hotel shuttle bus to our hotel. While at the hotel registration desk, request to be placed on the Cruise port shuttle for the following day. Get up on time, eat breakfast and then pack up and get on the shuttle, $10 per person. It took only 20 minutes to the port. Once at the port, it is a simple thing to wait for your number to be called and then you walk to the counter and register. Just like in a hotel. You are given a boarding card. And that is all there is to it. Now you can explore the the ship at your leisure.

Dear Nellie and Jim, a couple of hours ago I sent you a message from Schaffhausen on solid ground to your cruising nutshell on the Atlantic. Evidently Mr. Censor didn't accept, and so I will follow the rule "Try harder!" Wishing you a great and entertaining voyage. Keep well and safe on board of your most impressing swimming top class prison. Cheers, Cousin Ernst
