My whole trip was such a roaring success, I had absolutely amazing time and I enjoyed every minute of it. What a wonderful experience!! It dawned on me how lucky I have been the last month, I feel blessed and I am extremely thankful that life presented me with such a great opportunity of travelling.

In the last 5 weeks I took 12 different flights, enjoyed 6 boat trips, stayed in 16 hotels/hostels, visited 6 countries and numerous cites; Gained few pounds, met many likewise travellers and wonderful locals. The 5 weeks of happy trails and travels flew by with no sickness, no danger or even annoyances such as a big flight or bus delays and everything just fell into place for me.

One thing I will not miss are the Airports, I went through 12 airports and from the moment you arrive at the airport, you have to queue to check in a bag, then you have to queue for security, then you have to queue at the departure gate, then you have to queue to get on the plane. And all the time you have to rush from one queue to the next raising your stress levels. Then once you are on the plane people are jostling to get luggage space. The worst experience is passing through security, where you wish that the person before you have body piercing in most sensitive area so you are not confronted by the security staff who takes great satisfaction from making everyone's life a misery.

At 4.50 am, I touched down at Heathrow Airport, I was overjoyed to be at home, my son was waiting at the airport, very happy to see me now that he has someone to cook and clean for him. I was thrilled to be back, London looks beautiful: Fresh green and wonderful spring colours of the daffodils everywhere. The warm welcome by friends was wonderful and it was lovely seeing my son. I was looking forward to a good long sleep in my own bed, there is nothing like your own bed!! I looked at my garden and the spring bulbs were all out, looking beautiful, the wild birds were chirping, happily feeding as my cleaner had kept the feeders topped up.
I smiled to myself; I realized what a stunning place I live in. Just like Olivia newton’s lyrics, "You can't beat home sweet home, what a wonderful feeling it is"!!.

What an incredible adventure it was!  I will always have fond memories of all the places I have been.

My bucket list is getting smaller.
