Last day in Vancouver before flying home

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
On our last day in Vancouver we caught the Skytrain from Richmond near the airport into the Olympic Village stop and walked to Granville Island which has markets and local arts and crafts. The day was great, dry and warm after two days of heavy rain. The Skytrain does not have drivers so we had a view of the tracks from the front of the train.

The walk provided views of the city with apartment buildings crowding the skyline.

While eating lunch beside False Creek at Granville Island, we watched local ferries and other craft cruising past, but were confused by the lady in a frock with curlers in her hair paddling past on a standup paddle board. Maybe it was Halloween.

It is now 11 pm and we are at Vancouver airport awaiting our flight. Our body clock is still on Atlantic time and thinks it is 3 am so we are already very tired. Oh great! They have just announced the computers have gone down so they can't do the passport check for passengers who weren't processed at checkin. It looks like there will be a delay, as usual.

And did I say the rain is bucketing down again?

Hey Susan. I enjoyed the adventure from my armchair. Fabulous shots of the Canadian wilderness. Have a safe journey home.
