Welcome Leesa

Today we had planned a "chill-out" day so after a leisurely breakfast we headed to the shops to purchase a few electrical accessories for our new Tablets

The rest of the day we decided to enjoy the surroundings of this beautiful hotel which has been built in the traditional Singaporean style with white plantation shutters, wooden floors and furnished with beautiful fabrics and ancient artefacts. The facilities are first class and the ever smiling and friendly staff deliver a service which is second to none. As you've probably guessed we're more than a little happy with our choice of hotel in Singapore.

This afternoon we welcomed Sally’s daughter Leesa to our travel group. Leesa has flown in from Adelaide to join us for the rest of our stay in Singapore and also our visit to Aaron and Janelle in Sri Lanka. Leesa arrived just in time for “Cocktails” which is actually a light dinner of beautiful finger food served with your choice of cocktail. Being traditionalists we girls just had to toast Leesa's arrival with the famous local cocktail - the “Singapore Sling”

It is Leesa’s first visit to Singapore so after a catch-up over dinner we happily hit the shops again as we girls love to shop and as the shops stay open until 10.30pm on a Saturday night we didn't want to waste the opportunity for more retail therapy.
