London, England, United KingdomAfter circling Heathrow for 15-20 minutes we landed in London at 11:40am after our flight from Amsterdam.
We passed through customs, collected our luggage and then caught our Hotellink shuttle to our hotel. After a long and winding trip through London as we dropped off other passengers we arrived at the hotel, Thistle Lancaster Gate.
After checking in we went to Lancaster Gate tube station and activated our London Travel Cards before catching the tube to Marble Arch for lunch.
After lunch we caught the tube to Bank station before taking the Docklands Light Rail to Cutty Sark to visit Greenwich.
We saw the Cutty Sark and the National Museum before walking to the Royal Observatory. Unfortunately the observatory was about to close when we got there so we had to make do with a view of the outside and also the views over Greenwich.
We then walked back to the DLR station and caught the tube back to Lancaster Gate. We dropped off our bags and walked down to Queensway for dinner eating at a Chinese restaurant.
We decided to catch the tube down to Knightsbridge to visit Harrods as it was closed when we tried to visit on our last trip....it was closed again! We returned to Queensway where we bought some supplies from a supermarket before returning to the hotel.
