Last Full Day in Australia / Garry

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Today is our last full day in Australia before continuing on to New Zealand tomorrow on the 18th of March. We enjoy spending the time with Bill and Jenny Bradford. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know their children and grandchildren better. We have also thoroughly enjoyed getting to know ALL the brethren, leaders, deacons and elders in Australia. What a dedicated group of people holding faithfully to their faith in the truths of Jesus Christ.

As I'm leaving I'm getting nice message from Doug Gray, Mandy Jennings and Geofff Robertson wishing Beverly and me Godspeed . We feel that we have been specially welcomed and hae bonded with one another while on this visit.

This morning an old friend and workmate Garry De Jager whom I had not seen in 46 years came by to visit. We worked together in pre-press at the Ambassador Press in North Watford, Hertfordshire when we attended Ambassador College in Bricket Wood. Gary and I found each other on the Internet a few years back and he found out that I was in Brisbane and came by to visit.

We visited with the Bradfords as well and reminisced of olden days, old acquaintances and now about those of our class who have died. We talked about our life's journeys which at one time had a common base.

Garry is married to the former Roberta Mitchell and has three daughters.

I was very happy to have this reunion. We picked up our conversation where we left off in June 1969 when I left England back for the United States.

Very interesting.....
