South Australia 2022 - The Border is Finally Open

We had planned significant travel during 2020, the year of our 50th wedding anniversary. Then the Covid Pandemic took over the world. Millions of lives were lost and peoples plans worldwide changed daily. The world was in chaos. We and everyone worldwide are still dealing with the pandemic. In Western Australia we have been very lucky, but our Premier Mark McGowan has really had the State locked up. He did not opened the State to International travellers until the double vaccination rate was at 90%. And anyone entering the State needs to provide proof of their vaccination. On the 3rd March the State Border was opened to travellers, but you still have to fill in your G2G pass and do a RAT test. We are triple vaccinated, have all our certificates in place, masks, RAT tests and we now are off to South Australia for 10 weeks in the caravan. We will be bowling at Port Lincoln, Streaky Bay and Kimba with three other couples from the Geraldton Bowling Club. Firstly though I am meeting up with my virtual friend Pam Hogben in the Beataloo Valley. We are looking forward to digital scrapbooking together for the 12th birthday of Pixels2Pages. For the third year it will be a Virtual Event worldwide. Finally the two Pam's will be able to clink the glasses! After bowls we intend to spend time on the Murray River again and check out some silo art. Maybe we will do some country touring in Victoria too. There is a lot of lovely silo art to be seen in both States. It's good to be on the road again.
