Melting moments

Osaka, Kinki, Japan
Pretty much a day of nothing.

Intended to go and visit a garden and a tea house near the awful zoo but despite wandering around three sides of where the entrance could/should have been no sign showing us the way in .

Back into the aircon of the trains and headed to Umeda where we wandered around for a while. Visited Namba Gardens, a very ritzy shopping complex that looks like it's built into the side of a hill but of course it's just flat ground and the building is terraced upwards and the grdens cascade down.

Very confused buying a subway ticket even though we'd been shown how to. So used to buying a destination tthat we forgot all you are doing is buying a value. Once we stumbled onto that we had tickets in hand and were on our way back to the hotel.

Decided we'd do a load of washing cos we could. While it was on we partook of the opportunity to have some happy hopur beers in the downstairs restaurant at the hotel - Garden Kitchen. Not sure if happy hour meant only first two beers were half price but that's how it worked out.

Decided that we would give the nicest looking restaurant in the arcade a go and it was everythng we'd hoped and more.

Meals, service and ambience (such a wanky word but perfect all the same) all fantastic.

We loved it. A perfect meal to end a great stay in Osaka and our first city of our Japan trip.
