The short trip from Memphis to Nashville

Nashville, Tennessee, United States
No trip to Memphis would be complete without a trip to Graceland. Although neither of us had any interest in a tour of the mansion and his airplane, we found out that between 07:30 to 8:30 they allow "walk-up" visitors. We are only allowed to enter through the main gates, walk up the driveway and to the "Meditation Garden", where Elvis and his relatives are buried.

We had a three hour drive from Memphis to Nashville, only a mere 193 miles. We made one stop at the Natchez Trace Historical Park. Roxie got to run around the Visitors Center while Sharon made lunch. After lunch and a short rest, we turned back to the interstate for Nashville.

We arrived at our campground ~ Montgomery Bell State Park ~ got set up and drove up the road towards Nashville to get some barbeque for dinner.
