Top-class Customer Service, Luxurious, Yet Affordable!
The E Hotel was my choice out of the hundreds of Larnaca hotels / studios on this trip
. I was on a 3 week business trip to Cyprus and thought to spend the first 2 nights here, however I extended the stay to one more night only because the feeling was homely and so relaxing. I only wished I had more days to spare here, but I had to move on.
CHECK-IN / SERVICE: The welcoming was warm, nice seeing familiar faces once again. Constantina, Tania and Regina, behind the reception desk trying their best to meet the needs of every guest with a smile and goodwill. Check-in was quick and efficient and I felt nice to be back. The staff team is mostly youngsters who will not let you down not even for once. You feel their discreet presence and they are there to make every guest's stay memorable. Warm smiles is a feature that appears to be commonplace amongst the entire staff here. This is one of the reasons for the many repeaters….myself included!
LOCATION: So close to the City of Larnaca and yet far from the crowds and noise
. Only an 8 minute drive from the airport in a little town called Pervolia and a 15 minute drive from the city. Its location makes it an ideal destination for tranquility and relaxation.
Bus #431 starts from Faros and goes up to C.O.T. Beach, Port, Phinikoudes, Makenzy, Airport, Tourist Area Pervolia. Bus # 430 gets from Finikoudes to C.O.T beach every half an hour. The reception desk will give you more info so ask for a copy of the time table to be sure. The fee is just €1.50. The bus stop is only steps from the hotel, but be sure to pick a taxi if you come here late at night of course.
AMBIENCE: As an Echo-friendly hotel it combines contemporary design with natural elements which provide a unique cultural balance. The specious interior at the reception/lobby is eye catching, combining sophisticated refined modern simplicity with extremely good taste
. Well matched materials, pieces of furniture with elegant decorative ornaments are used for design effect. Attention is also given throughout the premises, while the interior of all rooms and suites is extremely inviting! The theme of art work has to do with Nature to remind residents that they are enjoying their holidays in a beautiful Mediterranean island.
PACKAGES: The hotel’s standards ensure a memorable stay whether booking at a standard room, a garden villa, a studio or a suite. Check out for the unique packages and offers and make sure which room fits your demands and budget and book accordingly. The packages are unbelievable so if you come across such, don’t hesitate to call and book.
ROOM: The first two nights I had room #122 which was overlooking the pool. Spacious with a smashing interior with fine amenities and elements scarcely to be found in hotels of the same rank. The highlight of the room was the bed I guess which was huge and very relaxing, with luxurious high-thread-count linens, a 32 inch Plasma HD TV set, a safe and a hair dryer
. I had a complimentary plate of seasonal fruit and a bottle of cool water as a treat. Coffee/tea facilities and a mini bar are also provided. The long sofa bed can easily accommodate a kid as well….but prefer coming here with no kids just to enjoy the tranquility the place offers.
The bathroom was not that big but modern and stylish, impeccably clean and towels smelled freshness. I have to admit it shouts for an extra light out there. I found it quite dim to be honest. The rainfall shower adds an extra touch of elegance and care for the guest.
GARDEN VILLA: A nice surprise expected me when I decided to extend my stay, so the 3rd night I was upgraded to a garden villa. The whole feeling is different, the guest enjoys total privacy here. The villa is huge providing a stylish interior -a modern kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom complete with a Jacuzzi bath tub, plus a 2nd shower and WC and double sofa bed. The floor to ceiling glass sliding doors open to an outdoor deck featuring a private pool and terraced Mediterranean garden area complete with teak sun beds for lounging
.
BREAKFAST: A buffet with varied, tasty and adequate quality products, but don’t expect the American Breakfast variety. I found it totally satisfying though. You could find jams and marmalade, eggs and vegetables, biscuits and cakes as well as cereals and juice.
DINING: The charming interior of the Franke Restaurant will amaze you, but I was not totally thrilled with the cuisine I can admit. I am very demanding when it comes to quality and taste of food and I am after the best. The food here was simply satisfying, and I would advise the Chef to concentrate more on the taste than on the presentation. Simple and flavorsome Mediterranean dishes, together with some exclusively Cypriot cuisine would have made the difference. What I liked more was the chicken dish and salad. The oven cooked cod fish was ok. I urge you to taste the apple pie which is served with some ice cream on the side
. The presentation is nice too.
SKY LOUNGE: Unfortunately a night before my arrival the Sky Lounge Roof Bar stopped functioning because the weather changed and it was a bit windy out there, but I know from previous visits that it is a trendy spot to meet friends for a chat, a cocktail or a drink and have fun. It has become locals’ hottest nightlife haunt in the area too. Guests love it. There are also themed music nights from Greek to Reggae! So, if you happen to be in the round area, do drop by and enjoy a night outing.
EDEN SPA / GYM: Don’t miss visiting the Spa and arrange to have a couple of treatments when here. In the Spa’s calming environment quests can enjoy exclusive beauty treatments, tailor-made packages and state-of-the-art facilities. I was for days so stressed and my therapist –Antigoni managed to let tension and stress float away with her magic tips and massage
. The cost of treatments is reasonable enough! If guests wish to use the Steam rooms and the Sauna should let the lady at the Spa know, as both need some time to heat up. Gym facilities are also provided in a separate room and all guests can enjoy these facilities and exercising for free.
POOL: Guests have the opportunity to take a plunge in the rejuvenating Oxygen Pool which is surrounded by luscious gardens, a waterfall and featuring underwater music. The pool itself might not be that big but it is eye catching and in a way, a cleansing sanctuary of calm and relaxation. The oxygen pool reinvigorates the body through a process of cell rejuvenation made possible by sophisticated ionized oxygen pumps.
FAROS BEACH: Personally I am fond of the beach instead so I was out twice at the pristine Faros beach which is only steps from the hotel. It got its name by locals due to the presence of a lighthouse, 'Faros’ in Cypriot
. The waters are shallow and the coast is the perfect setting for daytime idling and strolls or unforgettable Candlelight Dinners which can be arranged through the hotel management. Both Mr. Zamboglou & Mr. Philippou are trying to provide the best service to their customers at all times and they will be more than happy to arrange this special moment for any of their guests. The Faros Beach Bar is the perfect spot for an afternoon snack, sunset cocktails or casual dining by the sea.
CONFERENCE CENTRE: Unique facilities, cutting edge technology and impeccable service provided for conference meetings, executive retreats and a variety of venues like a wedding, a christening, a private party and more.
WI FI: Complimentary Wi Fi internet access throughout the premises.
SIGHT-SEEING: While here, visit the Camel Park which is close by, hidden in the lovely countryside of Mazotos. It is the unique spot to get closer to nature and share direct contact with the animals. The Salt Lake and the Hala Sultan Tekke located 5km west of Larnaca, Zygi and Mari just a few km for fresh seafood, and many more highlights scattered in the round area worth visiting.
IN ALL: It did not disappoint me and I felt homely here. I only wished I had more days. Because of its excellent location I highly recommend it to travelers who wish to spend some days in Larnaca before flying back home since it is close to the airport, for couples as it is an ideal spot for a romantic getaway, for guests who love the beach and also for older couples and solo travelers. I do look forward for my next visit. Keep the good work up guys and thanks for the excellent hospitality….see you soon.
