Sometimes we are not sure whether we want to be young or old!

Manchester saw us catch up with the Hammond girls from Australia and we wanted to be young to have a great night out (and we did! - more about that later) Liverpool saw us get into the Beatles Museum at Seniors Price - Yippee!!! . We are OK about being old for reduced entry price!

We arrived back in Manchester from Ireland and reunited ourselves with our (London) hire car and drove to our lovely, but inexpensive hotel. Just time for a quick washing of clothes - we were totally out of our meagre supplies - then we went into the city centre to meet up with Lisa, Kim and Amy Hammond. Lisa worked for us in Coral Bay as did her Mum and Dad and we had met Kim and Amy in Coral Bay when they were visitng the family. It was a great catch up, with much alcohol consumed, amazing Italian food and lots of laughs and stories. Thanks for a great night out girls!   

A full English breakfast set us up for the day and dealt quite well with the minor hangovers we were having and we set off for Liverpool. Our desintation was the Albert Dock area which is UNESCO listed and we were quite impressed by Liverpool, as we headed towards the Mersey River and dock area.

Liverpool conjures up in the mind a down at heel, working man city but we found quite the opposite in our brief visit . We located a car park, then as we got out of the car we spotted the Beatles Museum across the road. Simultaneously we both said "Lets go!". We were thrilled when we got in at Senior's price. I guess a lot of Seniors go to the Beatles Museum considering they were in their hey day in the 60's! 

It was so well done and spread over two separate sites. It also included a rather strange but fun 3D and 4D experience based loosely on a present day magical mystery tour. Both Albert Dock and the Beatles Museum were well worth seeing.

Leaving Liverpool quite reluctantly we headed off for Wales to look at some castles before finding a bed for the night.
