Yeosu Expo : Big 'O' Show and Fireworks

Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, South Korea
A major highlight of the Yeosu Expo is the nightly Big-O show.

This is a fanfare consisting of lights and water jets.

They create a myriad of patterns. If you have a good view I believe images are also projected into the centre of the Big-O

As this is one of the most popular events its quite difficult to get a good view. People begin camping out at the good spots from before nightfall in anticipation of the 9pm daily show.

I was quite a distance and it was still packed with people in comfortable spots they had long staked out.

Even from my distant spot I was able to get a good view and some good shots which were difficult at night with moving objects. I did have a good view the night before from my hotel room.

The finale was a large water jet show after which the throngs of crowds orderly began to leave.

Returning to my hotel I began to hear the thunder of fireworks. This I was able to capture much easily on film as the MVL Hotel where we were staying had a prime location (see next entry)

Here is a video of the firework finale

The Big-O show will be a permanent feature once the expo is closed
