Leaving San Juan I had my midday 4 hour flight back to Toronto. The money exchange places were closed Sunday so I still had my Dominican Republic money. I was told there was a Popeyes Chicken once I cleared security but I wasnt able to find it.
For take off we went away from the city so there were no views of the old town or fortresses.
Our flight path over the US took is via Virginia and then over Washington DC. It took me a few seconds to figure it out and I recognized the distinctive Capital Building at the top of the National Mall.
I could make out the Whitehouse but when I checked on google maps later its actually to the left of the Washington Monument.
On arrival at Toronto there was light snow and one hour lines in the Arrivals hall.
