All went very smoothly (if you don't count that the entertainment system didn't work and my premium seat wouldn't recline) from Richmond to O'Hare--did I mention that TSA precheck is worth EVERY dollar???? EVERY one. But by the time we landed in Chicago, the connecting flight was already an hour and a half late. It was one of those pilot timed out things, which, I know, from painful personal experience, could mean any amount of delay. Indeed, they kept delaying it for 30 more minutes until they stopped bothering. They loaded us on the plane three hours late, and the co-pilot was still not there. United (which I hate and try never to fly) boards the front seats of the plane last, which means that people sitting in the back drop their bags as they go by, and then the people in front have to put their bags in back. I was literally the last person off the plane--after the person who requested a wheelchair who was told to wait until everyone was off.
Next stop, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
