Hey Hey and a Big G'Day toya,
Let's talk about the Canadians Jo and Rob.
So, those bloody Canadians hey!
They've now left the building!
Scampered N Bloody Gone!
Buggered off mate!
Now let's talk about that bloody Australian!
They say he's gonna bugger off too!
But They say a lot of things!
But maybe They are right!
He will scamper too!
Soon to bugger off!
So, the Last Suppers have been and gone and along with them Rob N Jo.
Last Friday night the school and the Big Guys from the city took us all out for the Last Feast.
It was a huge night mate and it left me battling my war injuries the entire next day. I simply sat on the couch watching episode after episode of 'The 4400' I don't think it ever made Australian TV but I was searching for something to watch last Thursday and found four seasons of what is called The 4400. Having no idea what it was I thought hey, it's in Eglish, all my other DVD's are now packed and I'm sure this will take me through until it is time for me to scamper.
So what I thought was going to be some crappy TV 'Thing' has kept me awake till 5am each morning.
Needless to say, I'm bloody hooked mate and I can't seem to book a train ticket out of town until I have finished the four seasons I have before me! Also on the 'To finish' DVD list is another what I thought was going to be crappy TV series that I got mainly because it was in English and it had several seasons worth of DVD's.
The I.T Crowd mate, bloody awesome!
British humour, love it!
Daniel & Alexa!
Right! Yeah!
OK!
So.....last night sadly Jo, Rob and I took Joyce, Candy and Jacky out for the Last Last Super.
Well, it was the Last Last Super for Jo and the girls as she will not be returning to China. Happily for the girls though Rob has taken a job at one of the Private English Schools here in Shaowu City. He will be returning in three weeks. The lucky bugger will have an awesome job teaching ALL of my favourite and best students, the ones who want to learn and actually go there to learn.
So now to me, this is my blog and now it's all about me!
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!
Trashy and boring and skip it you think?
Move on to more important things?
Yeah well maybe you're right!
No, me me it's all about me!
I'm in China and male!
Me Me Me!
OK!
All my belongings (except my computer) are packed and I'm now living from my travel pack. I will be leaving Shaowu and Fujian Province and heading to the middle north to Shaanxi Province and will be either four hours south by train (or ten hours by bus) from Xi'an City in a little rural city called Ankang or two hours south east by bus from Xi'an city in a small town called Shangluo. I will be down near the Qinling Mountains so my climate will be sub-tropical and even more luckily for me I will be no where near the damn deserts of northern Shaanxi.
I will be just up and over from Gansu, Sichuan and Gongqing provinces.
So, what happens between now and then?
On the 27th my school has some sort of awards thing happening for the students so I want to stick around for that which happily will give me time to finish off all my DVD's and have several smaller Last Last Last Last Suppers with friends. I know Yujing is away until the weekend so we can't have the big Last Super with Yan and Crew until this coming weekend. I'm still trying to decide whether to head to Yangshuo to leave all my stuff while travelling. Problem with that is I will be heading north to meet up with Luo Wei (Amigo) and we will travel together for a month and I will then have to head way back south again to collect my stuff and then head north again. But I haven't seen my boss and his family or anyone at Bucklands for two years so it would be awesome to see them.
Luo Wei would love to see the Guilin/Yangshuo area so it would be nice to take her there.
So what are the travel plans for this coming summer?
Another huge city bop like last year?
That really was awesome hey!
I was thinking of heading east to where the Great Wall of China actually begins. They built the wall into the sea and I think that would be an awesome thing to see and that not many people would have seen where it comes out of the sea.
See what I mean?.
HHhhhhmmm, do you think I could use the word 'see' one more time in that last sentence!
I don't know, I'm thinking of keeping it down to maybe only one or two provinces.
Luo Wei and I both want to spend time in Anhui Province visiting Huang Shan which is known as China's most beautiful mountian and then village hop around the south of Anhui before heading across to Jiangxi Province to visit the European charms of Lushan and then once again village bop around Wuyuan Area. It would also be nice to see Jingdezhen city which was China's ancient porcelian centre.
Who knows mate!
You know me.
I'll probably end up finally in Kashgar or anywhere other than the above. Like I say at the beginning of every holiday, I really do wish I was one of those people who have it all planned, the pages marked and little adventures penned in for along the way. It really would make the 'prior to leaving' weeks much easier. But no I have to chop and change my ideas every single time I sit down and confuse the shite out of myself right up until the minute I go to the train station to buy my ticket out as then I usely change again and buy a ticket to somewhere I never thought of going.
Anyhow, Iguess when it's time to go we will all know at the same time where I'm going to go!
Like you, I probably won't know until I get there!
Beers N Noodles toya.....shane
PS: What is the photo 'Li Ping'?
Li Ping is my friend Joyce's real name in Chinese.
Her sisters name is Li Hua or Rose in English as Li can mean 'beautiful' if said with the right tones and hua means flower so one is a beautiful flower and the other is a beautiful bottle...hahaha!
PSS: Why the photo of the Travelpod screen?
Have a closer look mate. Astonishingly I clocked up 100,000 hits on my blog at the end of last week.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my mother who has been pretty bloody busy reading my blog over the past few years! What are mothers for hey! I can't believe she has read it 100,000 times!
Also thanks to the other few people who have tripped over it by accident!
But to be serious, to the good friends I have made thought Travelpod.com!
PSSS: To Rob & Jo the Canadians...
...um....who? The Canadians? I must had too much beer last night.
Wasn't I the only one? Me Me, it's all about me! REMEMBER!
Ha ha...thanks you two buggers.
We really did have an awesome year together..sniff sniff...simply wonderful, just wonderful!
.....sniff sniff.....just wonderful.....sniff sniff....now pack ya bags and fark off! Quickly!
PSSSS: Hey Canadian Rob, don't bloody forget my copy of the latest Black Crows album ya bugger!
PSSSSS: Hey Canadian Jo, finish up dude and get ya butt back to China. No waiting all those years!
Bloody Canadians!

The soundtrack to this entry was the awesome Nine Inch Nails.
The album was 'Downward Spiral'
* I often wonder what my neighbours think when I play stuff like Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against The Machine, Motorhead or Machinehead etc. Coming from such a small mountain city in the very unknowns of Fujian Province they must really freak out when they hear crazy metal stuff like that.
Especially all the old people that live in my building!
I hope I had nothing to do with the lady next doors heart attack a few months ago. I'm serious mate! Well, she is now home and she does still wave and say hello everytime she sees me so I think I'm pretty safe. 'Rancid' is now playing so I think she will be happily bopping around her kitchen floor 'Scar Dancing' with the best of them.
Sometimes I can't help but wonder if it is like on Back To The Future when Michael J Fox puts the head phones on his 'younger' father and plays Van Halen. Or is it more Satanic in nature like they think I have several virgins up here in my room and ...um...I...um...?
No, that would be because I forgot to shut the door that time...haha!
