Hey Hey and a Big G'Day toya,

Below is the latest update sent to me by my friend Scott (the other 'Home Town Boy').
The photos are of the Tent City that Deyang has become along with Schoots Uni..
Three days and three tremors at 11:20am each day.
How 'Naturally' freaky is that!

Hey Shane,

The quake is certainly spreading with it reaching all the way to Xi'an.
I hope your girlfriend is safe and ok.

Today we have had another 3 tremors with the biggest being 5.2.

For the past 3 days we have had a tremor at 11.20am, you could set your watch to it. It is quite freaky. There is still lots of banging and bashing going on at our college Sichuan Engineering Technical College. I still don't think it will be ready in time for the students to come back on June 16th.

We still have no news on the flooding and the most dangerous quake lake is very close to overflowing.

The soldiers are trying their best to get to it before it goes. They have now started clearing rubble to prepare for the rebuilding. Tomorrow I will go and teach some students that have come here from the quake areas. They are in a tent school and as it is really hot here they are pretty much cooking inside. It is the same for all the people living outside in tents.

We now have the Army at our school. They are here to help with security in Deyang and also to get supplies prepared to go out to the affected areas.

I will keep you informed as i get other news.

Cheers, Scott.
Life is not easy and it never will be, but you've got friends and one of them is me.

PS: Most of these people will call their tent their home for several years to come.

Beers N Noodles toya.....shane
