Hey Hey and a Big G'Day toya,

Dying gadgets hey!

I figured as it’s been the most important gadget in my life for the past six years (camera/phone/MP3/text etc) that I really should say some quiet words.   So I gave myself ten minutes to write an ode to mi ol’ mate, my Nokia N95 and to welcome in her replacement. Sorry readers, it just had to be done and I’ve had a few beers so I thought it would be more fun to write a really stupid blog for a change…..OK, here goes!

Ninety percent of my photos she gave to you, but one rainy night aliens did use might and on her screen they did take flight. Earth Invaders did they play and for now I must put her away. Many adventures did she take, but now a house maid she must make.

The twoks have been tweekt and the tweeks have been twokt.
Anna and Belle stepped in and my new Nokia N8 rocks.

I care more about fidgets than widgets and turn her lop sided and I also have digits. Android, spam droid cue Clarke Cable, in the end I had five different phones on the table. All of them they told me were Smart Phone enabled so they rolled and scrolled, beeped and vibbed, but most of them gave me the same ride. The N8 seemed to open her gate and with a camera that was 12MP over an 8, it seems Apple and Samsung were much too late.

With onboard 16GB and an open SD to share, then I’m sorry I’ve found my hardware.

To all of the Aussies in drains, on plains and in Errol Flynn aeroplanes, these new phones simply seem the same but not you worry rovers and drovers, don’t research Android till you chunder as they are the same in the land down under. Though my old 95 maybe is now a mutey it doesn’t mean my new N8 isn’t a bewdy. I promise I tell ya without around mucking, the new Nokia Anna and Belle are here for….

Plucking chickens on a farm, we’ll be plucking arm in arm.
For the next six years I hope we pluck, on a bus, a train or the back of a rural truck!
I’ve had enough of rhyme without reason and very soon summer will be the in season.
My phone and computer both have died so it seems both me and my bank are really fried.

The 2012 Summer Beers N Noodles Adventure will soon begin but after four years I’ve also had to also purchase clothes without whim. Along with a dead phone and computer, my holy shirts, shorts and jeans it seems finally gave in. Not much more I can do but fester, stew and worry about entertaining you. It seems as though my beer is finished and with that my words have diminished.

With fifty thousand shots, six hundred blog pages with unlimited stages, my old Nokia Mutie you have slept with me, wept with me, tucked with me and…rural trucked with me! We travelled far and we travelled wide and just as long as you keep your mouth shut about all we have seen then I’m sure I will not be bouncing a ball like Steve McQueen. For six long years you were my great escape but sadly another will now be more lopsided and sided up, I’m so sorry that the new Nokia Anna and Belle are also prepared to ….

Chicken pluck in a rural truck!

Brainz Brainz!...I want to eat your Brainz!...
Would you prefer rice or noodles with that?

I just got home from a delightful almost 20km walk into the city, around there, over here and back again. For dinner I dropped in to what I call a 'Spare Parts Eatery’ and grabbed what I thought was best for me. Some extra brains may help keep me sane and happy though I was, I also had a choice of noodles or rice along with a small soup to boil and toil. With noodles a brains a side soup is a must but when she put it down naturally I moved it around. Behind my main did I trust a good place for it a must but for some reason she thought it treason moved it side place again with a thrust.

Oh what can a man do?
She was so purty that I left it there,
Fluttered my eye lids and said ‘for your Brainz Brainz’ thank you!

So, What About the Photo’s in This Blog

Most of these photos were taken with the old Mutie and, I’ll begin using the new camera during the Summer Break. As for the ride, it’s my latest ‘Sofa Temple & Rice Field Temple’ ride which simply follows the Xinjiang River (with many offshoots) from the very west of town ten kilometers to the very north of town (where the train station is) and that’s when the new part begins. I simply continue following the river until I meet the next bridge and then cross and return though the riverside villages or I continue to follow the river until the following bridge etc. This ride can take anywhere from four to seven hours depending on offshoots, bridges and traffic as the north side of the river follows what can be a busy carriage way.

As for the ‘Sofa Temple’, I never would have found it if it wasn’t for JiangNi, who is found in the photos trying to blend in with the natural environment wearing matching green tshirt and shades. When we sat for lunch in a park I kept losing her amongst the leaves and grass. Thankfully she never made it to the Rice Paddy Temple as if she fell off in the rice field I never would have found her. While we were out riding one time I decided to take her across the river and along the bumpy return track. As it’s not often she gets on a bike naturally after falling off a few times she got a tad pissed at me so I decided it would be best to head down into the riverside village and see what type of road we could find. After passing a rubbish heap that contained (and still does) a used sofa, thankfully we found a small concrete road and within twenty seconds before us was a colourful temple that I have dubbed ‘The Sofa Temple’

The ‘Rice Paddy/Field Temple’ is found about twenty kilometers up river and I remember when I first saw it I found it so breathtaking that I had to stop. Though it’s old and plain it was an amazing sight across the flushed rice fields so I headed back and down into the village and whilst the ducks played in the rice fields the resident Monk and I shared the peace and quiet over some water. Most of the beautiful old ‘entrance’ photo’s are not to either temple, they are in fact entrances to many of the old village residences that can be found all over China.

Beers N Noodles toya…..shane
