Hey Hey and a Big G'Day toya,

WOW that was awesome!
From blue to black to bluish grey all in around ten minutes!

Beneath a blue sky I made my way from my last class to the English Office to say my daily goodbyes and after climbing five flights of stairs and arriving at my apartment, thing’s had dramatically changed in the sky to the west. With low rumbles to be heard and bright flashes to be seen I thought it best to head down stairs to have my daily afternoon snack fix. Just outside the school gate can be found several small street vendors and many afternoons I get amongst the students as they leave school and we all have a snack attack.

Today my desire was a 1 Yuan cup of noodles that comes complete with chili and a boiled sausage, the perfect snack for any child over the age of thirty! By the time I had descended five flights of stairs, pushed and shoved my way through the hordes of students (all of whom were having a great time beating me with their weapon of choice…a closed umbrella) and made my way to the my vendor of choice, the noodle vendor (a small kitchenish type thing on the back of a three wheeled bike) rain drops the size of my brain began to fall.

After paying and turning to return the heavens not only opened but also declared war.

Within minutes many of the stores near the bottom of our small road were flooded and most of the students resembled half drowned kittens. As I remained dry beneath the vendor’s huge beach umbrella I couldn’t help but laugh at what was going on around me. It all came about so suddenly that most of the students kind of just stood there not knowing what to do and then as thunder and lightning danced around us they all finally took flight and dispersed in all directions.

By the time I had finished my second cup of noodles it was all over.
To the east low rumbles could to be heard and bright flashes seen.
