Pagodas over a thousand years old;
Don’t you just love their tiny day stair cases!

Jincheng city is where the Shen Nong Farmers helped Chinese ancestors make the transition from a pastoral/nomad way of life to farming. Jincheng was known as Zezhou in ancient times and it was during The Tang Dynasty (618-907) the city was established.

Due to rain I’ve been making my way through the Trublood DVD’s.
Pretty racy but that Snooky Sookhouse surely gets on ones nerves.

Today though the promise of rain didn’t follow through so I grabbed the bus back out to where I was the other day and took in the Haihui Temple where I met a beauty who is rather pretty in pink. Think I might just hang around for a few extra days. Ok, back to the temple, The highlights of this active Buddhist temple, where Minister Chen used to study, are its brick pagodas. The twenty meter high Sheli Ta is almost one thousand one hundred years old. Towering above it is the octagonal Rulai Ta, built in 1558 which if you are like me, you can climb for an extra ten Yuan. Going up is fine even though I had to climb the stairs like a monkey (on hands and feet) and it wasn’t until I got to the top that I thought about climbing back down. With barely any light, extremely slippery and worn stones I had to go back down the same way I got up, except backwards.

That really sucked.
