THE FIRST ENTRY OF THIS NEW GUIDE
Through this New Guide I want to highlight the beauty of Volos and Pelion
. I am visiting some of the most picturesque and well known villages which I will name as I move on and by the time I visit them. The region offers the tourist indescribable, unique feelings of serenity and tendency to romance.
Besides its divine atmosphere, the magic thing about Pelion is that the villages are only a few kilometres away from the city of Volos. The area is full of dense forests, olive groves, endless acres of fruit orchards, medical herbs, and all these just a few kms from beautiful beaches! The traditional villages of Pelion are picturesque and unique and are perched along dense green mountainsides or boarding the seaside with gold sandy beaches or winding cobbled paths that lead the visitor on magical journeys.
I will not only travel you eastwards to the slopes of Pelion away to the wild coasts of the Aegean Sea, but also to the west side where waters are calm and full of creeks.
Each village has its own charm and magic so you can pick the one that meets your own expectations for your coming holidays. Have in mind that we are not visiting the actual City of Volos on this trip -I have done this several times in the past, but I am to post several panoramic photos of the city of Volos taken from a distance as we approach and when we are further up from the slopes of Pelion.
The trip from Athens is 347 km. but we are leaving from Evia of course which I assume it is about a 3.5 hours drive.
I will try to make the virtual tour interesting for you to follow.Come along...... I am sure you will find the trip interesting.
