AFTER A HEAVY RAINSTORM



It was a steady rainfall the entire night with wind, thunder and lightning . We leave the hotel for the next destination but we decide to stay for a while in this coastal village and have our lunch here before driving off.Who doesn't love the smell of fresh rain? We side the car by the river bank and get off. I like the contrast of colour in the river with all this greenery around. The water flowing is brown, leaves on the tress are bright and shiny and the earth is wet. It looks like a Spring morning. We get back to the car and in seconds we come to the beachfront. I am out for a walk up to the beach of Papa Nero again this morning. It is nice and cool and I love the smell in the air this morning. The coast is wavy but the sea breeze is very welcoming. The campers of the campsite must have had a difficult night tonight. Lucky are the ones in a trailer or a caravan. The ones in tents have everything out on the ground and their tents are already hanged to dry up. The picture reminds me of Derrick –a friend who loves backpacking. It is as if I see one of his pictures after a rain fall when tents are out to dry. There is much action going on in the campsite, everyone is busy even the ones with trailers. Branches of trees are on the ground and piles of leaves scattered all over.
