Changing of the guards:

Outside the Presidency of Sofia I heard the natural sound of those goose-steps in the hourly changing of the guard ceremony . The guards normally change every hour on the hour.

If however you drop by the first Wednesday of the month exactly at 12:00 noon you can see the official changing of the guards complete with music, shouting and weapon brandishing.

Their uniforms range from dark red with plumed hats and sabers to more subdued cream-colored garb.

The building:

It is not impressive and it does not stand out like Presidencies of other European countries. You can be walking by for instance and if you are ignorant, you can walk pass it without noticing it.
