The Long & Winding Road

Bangalore, Karnataka, India
There's nothing more boring than a blog that outlines in painstaking detail , somebody's pretty ordinary travels. Complete with 1764 photos. Especially if its one of those run of the mill stuff that a few million others have done and are currently doing.

Very cheerfully, that's exactly what I am going to inflict on you for the next few days ! The "other place" where I pontificate, would like to believe that it is a serious, weighty corner (ha ha) where such frivolity is frowned upon. So I have retreated to blah blah ing here.

Apparently, in such matters, you should begin by tweeting that you are having an "awesome" time. But there is a problem. Since I am not a twit, I don't tweet. You also apparently have to take a selfie showing you grinning stupidly at some monument or the other (or if you are an Indian, don't grin and look serious). More problems. I don't own a camera. I have a dogmatic belief that life is better seen directly than through a view finder. But I do have a mobile phone though. And apparently it can get you some grainy pictures ....... No selfies however - I am not Helle Thorning Schmidt

You are also, I believe, supposed to restrict your writing to a few lines and let the photos do the talking. Third problem. When I start blah blahing, I don't stop. Ah what the hell - I am just going to do my own thing.

Me, my car and the long and winding road, its going to be. For a few days at least. Will you join me ?

@Shachi - Thanks. Yes; loads of music although I am now fancying driving in silence, ruminating !!

@Asha - Very kind of you. A few photos OK - but they will be nowhere near your class.

@Vinod - Hey - you travel farther and wider ; you just don't write about it !

@Neelesh - Welcome. Out of Karnataka unfortunately - else you'll be the expert to seek advise from.

Hey, I came across this today ... and seemed appropriate to leave it as a comment in your intro post here ...

Mark Twain:
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”
