Ummmm, like what day is it?

Today we did a snorkeling tour of the barrier reef . The second largest barrier reef is off the coast of Belize and it is incredible. We made several stops which included swimming with sharks and sting rays, and swimming among the reef and it's various colorful creatures. I felt like I was swimming in the aquarium at the doctor's office. I don't have a waterproof shell for my camera so I don't have pics from underwater but take my word that it is amazing. The water depth varied from 10 feet to drop offs to 40 feet deep. Our guide was an excellent freediver and could really go deep. I could only get down about 15 or 20 feet before the water pressure became too painful on my ears. This is probably the coolest thing I've seen and done so far.

Mick, Aaron and Cheryl took off today to go back to Cancun so I am on my own again. Mick and Aaron need money and are jetting back to London to do a drug trial. What the hell is that you ask? Basically, a drug company will give them some new medicine they have invented and see what the side effects are. So next time you see a commercial for a new drug that works great except that it may cause diarreah, temporary blindness, brain hemorraging, and psychotic behavior, you know how they know this. However, in about 2 months, they will be paid 3000 pounds, or about $5300 US dollars. Then, they'll be back on the road. Cheryl has a much healthier job lined up on a horse farm in New Hampshire.

Tonight I hung out with Michal and Hela, two girls from Israel. They're tough chics! In Israel, it's mandatory for women have to serve in the army for two years(men serve 3). As soon as every Israeli finishes their service, they all travel the world for a year. I run into them everywhere. I learned more about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict talking to them for 10 minutes than reading any US newspaper for hours. Interesting view points but I'll spare you the political details.
