We continued our trip past Rocky Mountain House into the foothills to a small village called Nordegg which at one time was an active coal mining town. The scenery was even more spectacular with lots of wild life, lakes and of course tall mountains. We stopped at Mount Michener then went onto the Banff Boundary which connects to Highway 1. If you choose this route, there is a charge of $20 for the use of the Icefiled Highway.
