Long days drive east past Ponferrada and Leon to Burgos. Stayed a couple of night at Camping Fuentes Blancas on the river Arlanzon. Easy cycle into Burgos along cycle paths. Visited the new Modern anthropology museum with displays on human evolution & the nearby Atapuerca fossil site. Also visited the Museo de Burgos with a collection of fine art & archaeological finds from the region, housed in a 16th-century palace with a cloister.

It was a saturday and the town was packed with groups and families having lunch. Especially impressive is Burgos Cathedral. We liked Burgos
