The day after the race, February 27th, we cleared out of Sint Maarten customs as we planned to depart the next day before dawn for the British Virgin Islands. This process included some paperwork to add Wally and Larry to the official crew list. Then we dinghied to Budget Marine to spend our gift certificate, but found it was closed on Sunday. The certificate is good for a year so we'll need to return next season before it expires. Maybe next year’s regatta?  

We then rode a public bus to Phillipsburg so Wally and Larry could see a bit more of the island. A friend had recommended that Wally look at the shops in Phillipsburg for the special camera lens he sought and, in fact, he was successful in finding a good deal in this duty-free arena.



John hosted a big dinner for us all that evening at his beautiful villa and a good time was had by all!
