Passing Through Genova

Saturday, July 28, 2012
Genoa, Liguria, Italy
Next we got off the train at Genova. This is where Christopher Columbus is from. And apparently nothing else is here. We should have known this would not be a stellar stop when it was not even listed in our guide book as anything more than a place to change trains. Unfortunately, we had over an hour to kill.

So we found ourselves a post office and mailed a couple postcards, took a photo in the "Piazza Principe" and Bryan got a piece of pizza from a grumpy fast food worker . Displaying our receipt on the table, I proceeded to eat snacks from our backpack and use their chair and AC. Then we got out of there. Next train took us to Ventimiglia, where we promptly changed trains without time to snap photos.
