Early in the morning i left town to go on another Greyhound bus. Or so i thought. The bus doesn't show up but a different tour company, the "OZ Experience", miraculously has my name on their list. Turns out what i thought was the competition is owned by Greyhound as well. Just a smaller bus. Well, the seven of us who are the passengers of the day get in and we drive along the so called Gold Coast, a string of cities with high-rises, theme parks, surf schools and huge marinas including more canals than in Venice. A mix of Miami, Vegas and LA. And i think the only gold on this coast is made by the hotel resorts and casinos. Thank you, i pass. And off we go to Brisbane which we reach around noon and I find my way to the Brisbane City Backpackers. The rest of the afternoon i checked out the city and all the curiosities at the Queensland Museum.

Frueh am Morgen mach ich mich auf zur naechsten Greyhound Fahrt . Oder so dachte ich zumindest. Der Bus kommt nicht. Aber dafuer hat eine andere Busgesellschaft, die "OZ Experience", meinen Namen auf ihrer Liste. Wie sich herausstellt ist das Busunternehmen, welches ich bisher fuer die Konkurrenz hielt auch Teil von Greyhound Australia. Nur mit kleineren Bussen. Wie auch immer, wir sieben heutigen Passagiere steigen ein und fahren entlang Australien's Goldkueste, eine Kette von Kuestenstaedten mit Hotelhochhaeusern, Vergnuegungsparks, Surfschulen und grossen Yachthaefen. Eine Mischung aus Miami, Las Vegas L.A. und Mallorca. Und ich glaube, die einzigen fuer die das hier eine "Goldkueste" ist sind die Hotel Resorts und Spielkasino's. Dankeschoen, aber ich passe. Am Mittag erreichten wir dann Brisbane und ich checkte mich ein ins Brisbane City Backpackers. Den restlichen Nachmittag spazierte ich durch die Stadt und schaute mir die Kuriositaeten im Queensland Museum an.
