Hey Hey and a Big G'Day to you
Thought I'd post a few photos for you.
They were taken on my new 2 mega pixel phone camera.
My normal camera is just about dead. I've taken it to the doctor who just wanted to sell me another one. So now I have to bash it against the wall to get it to connect to the computer and not all photos are captured. I'm really not sure where they go, but they are not on the memory stick. I guess it's what happens when you drop it so often, take it riding and it to the places I do.

OK, the school has Parents Night/Meeting this coming Friday night. So I've been busy each afternoon at English Corner going through the children's speeches. Tonight got a bit crazy though, I think they've had enough. It ended up being more of a grass fight and a game of tiggy than anything.

We have just had new 'front gate' black boards put in. Chinese schools have many of these through out the school. They are more of a Notice Board with beautiful pictures all drawn by the children. Some of the High and Middle School black boards are just amazing. They outline the dangers of fire and other important themes. But...I can't seem to figure out how they would get out of their buildings if there was a fire at night time. They have bars all over the windows and they have iron gates locking them inside. I bet part of the text on 'this' board didn't out line a fire escape route!

Anyhow, we finally got our boards and the kids were busy tonight creating an English Corner Theme. I thought I'd take some pictures and show you. Some time in the future I want to take some of the High or Middle Schools and display them for you.

What have I been up to lately? Not much really since the Guigang weekend. Spent last weekend in Baise with the Aussie gals, two of whom will be leaving at the end of term. Oh boo hoo! Mate, they can shop. I thought Peggy Bundy was bad, these girls are just amazing. You see, I think it's an aimless day wondering the streets to keep warm. No, it's all planned prior to leaving the house. No good staying home to keep warm, it's colder inside at night time than out side.

Hey, Chinese houses are all tiles. Bloody tiles everywhere, great in summer but after 4000 years you'd think someone would actually think about winter! Heating? You've got to be joking. Air conditioning for summer? Of course. I can't seem to figure out the thought process behind the not thinking about winter and being cold. I mean, everyone, EVERYONE is in long jackets and one or two jumpers during the day and it's only November. Some, even gloves and beanies. By January they will be ice blocks! I ask everyone, do you have heating....No! Why? I DON'T KNOW is the answer. Do you have air conditioning for the summer? Yes! Why do you have air conditioning for the summer time? Because it's hot in summer. So, why don't you have heating in winter? I don't know...OK, I'm going for lunch!

The weather, as you can see, it's getting much cooler now. I'm still in shorts and short sleeves during the day. It's not me that's crazy, it's everyone around me! The sandals have gone and in their place sneakers/runners. Night time, well, it's getting much colder now. I actually have to prepare myself to go to the market place for dinner. Still in shorts as my legs don't feel the cold much (at the moment) but the top half has a jumper or two and a polar fleece jacket on. Hey, a mans gotta keep warm whilst drinking cold beer on a cold night!

No, don't even think about suggesting that I drink warm beer.shame on you...SHAME ON YOU!

Well, throats getting dry, stomach is empty and it's time for me to don my warm clothes and head across the road. I'm too hungry to carry on.
Many Chinese smiles to you....shane
