Amazing to be Back Home Again!
The flight is ok, I have seat # 3 F at the very front and it takes off at 15
.35 exactly on time. Landing takes an hour and twenty minutes so there is time for a snack and some coffee on board the plane.
I am lucky to have my house close to the airport in Larnaca so there is no time loss. As soon as the plane lands I make a call to tell my sister to take the car and drive to the airport. When I get to the luggage claim I make another call and in minutes she shows up.
There is an apricot tree in our small garden and Mum has saved this branch for me. The apricots are very ripe and Mum tells me that she had been worrying that they would fall off. It seems I am lucky and they are the tastiest I have eaten for years. They are very aromatic and it surely is a nice surprise from Mum.
It is an afternoon where I want to see family members and relatives. I decide not to go out but stay at home the remaining of the afternoon with lots of chatting and only dropped by to say hi to my Aunt and two cousins who are in the neighborhood. There will be so much traveling the coming days so this first day I need it exclusively for my family members.
Back Home in Larnaca once again!

nothing like home grown produce with flavour Popi our commercially grown Apricots do not have the real taste any more u might as well as be eating a water enclosed ball as that is what it tastes like

So it's not just here. Fruit sold at supermarkets seems to be so tasteless these days. They are grown to look good and have a long shelf life.

Sometimes I long for thos years in the past where everything was so different. Everything was more beautiful, had more taste, was more original, and the only thing I would want with me if I had to live that time again would be my laptop.

Oh yes Mary now I remember Mum telling you to have some. I had forgotten about it.
