With the help of Andre Spiteri this time, the Executive Sous Chef who personally cooked and presented his creations, it was another interesting experience .
The original menu includes several outstanding dishes and the ones you see below seem to be quite popular.
After a lovely and tasty amuse bouche from Andre, the first choice was truly outstanding.
The Cured Salmon Carpaccio was super yummy. The appealing presentation and combination of beetroot, prawn & smoked eel beignet, yoghurt & coriander dressing was superb. Big thumbs up! €14.50.
The Lobster Salad was classy and succulent. Fresh delectable lobster, bursting with flavour! (Crushed celeriac, grilled white asparagus, steamed green asparagus, confit tomato, avocado). Make it your choice! €15 .00.
The Pappardelle Prawns was a feast of taste and aroma, cooked to an absolutely precise al dente. (Chorizo, burrata & pumpkin) Another exceptional choice not to be missed! €15.50.
The Sea Bass course was light with a mild texture and ambrosial, accompanied with broccoli, asparagus & crushed potatoes. Light and perfect for a nice day's or night’s option. €21.00.
BEVERAGE: Pairing wine a Loire valley rose, the French Rose D’Anjou. Refreshing and lingering acidity to round out the palate. €20.00.
DESSERT: The Pineapple Carpaccio (Mango puree, mango sorbet, fresh raspberry & meringue) . Mouthwatering, refreshing and yummy –go for it! €8.00.
IN ALL: Spoiled for choice all three nights! The food was utterly delicious the service top notch. You have to experience it to get the absolute feeling and the authentic tastes of what the restaurant offers. Whether it is a business meal, a friendly or family outing the Oceana is highly recommended. The Blue Elephant is also another great option if you love Asian cuisine of course.
