Final Trondheim Walk

Trondheim, Trondelag, Norway
Walking back from the Folk Museum I needed to get something to eat as I hadn't had lunch or anything except snack foods.

Coming back into town I passed thru the old hospital district where many of the old homes were.

I couldn't find much to eat in the town centre. I found a Burger King but they were 100K ($20) didnt have fish, and I didn't come all this way to Norway just to eat Burger King.

There was a kebab shop whose prices seemed way too high until I figured out it was the board for the neighbouring hairdresser. They were closed anyway.

Eventually I found a subway sandwich type place. They had two prices 49K for half sub or 69K for full sub. I took the full one which was $14.

The other thing I needed to do was try to unlock my TD Visa card. I'd tried calling TD again from the hotel. Other than going into a TD branch they said if I used an ATM part of the 'plus' network it would unlock the card. I was walking to every bank machine but getting rejected in each one.

Finally I went back to the train station and took some pictures by the new marina and the new waterside apartments.

On my way back I found a supermarket. Here they had some decent priced food. They had frozen fish burgers like Korean odeng which would give me some protein. I paid 62K with some orange juice ($12).

Despite prices Trondheim turned out to be a nice introduction to Norway as I had planned before I went to the larger cities in the south.
