After having worked on the New Hong Kong Airport project and visted the site twice prior to the airport opening, this became my first flight into a new airport that I had worked on from both a planning and project perspective. It looks much more impressive with all of the equipment installed and with the signs and finishes complete. The night is late and we must connect onto a UA flight (B777) direct to Singapore. First step is to grab our luggage then check in a return to the gate in approx 1 hour. We cover much distance and make the connection.
