Singapore - Home of Raffles and the Sling

Singapore, Singapore
Day 1 - We book out on the Touristic Bus and travel over the greater part of the city with stops at Raffles where we enjoy a very expensive Singapore Sling. Also tried a Chinese restaurant and a Italian along the river. Simgaore is a real melting pot of cultures with Asian and Indian being dominant. It is very wealthy and has lots of strong rules pollution and crime. Much of the labour force is immigrant labour.
Day 2 - We ventured into Little India and China Town and we were really impressed. The diverse cultures and the work ethic of the people is very evident. We also made it to the top of the 57th Floor of the Marina Bay Sands Resort where you will find restaurants, infinity pools and bars that span 3 high rise towers. Definitely one of a kind. Dinner was Italian at a place called Sailors along the Singapore River. Lots of road and high rise construction. It has been hot - 33C with 95% humidity. We are actually on Day 3 right now and just had lunch aboard the ship. We sail at 5 PM for Malaysia.
