Last weekend we took the train to Cambridge and spent the weekend with Lorraine and Justin, friends we met on the NCL transatlantic cruise last year. What a fantastic weekend! We arrived Friday afternoon and Lorraine and Justin picked us up at the train station and whisked us to the cutest little pub/wine hotel in the region, the Old Bridge Hotel and Wine Shop in Huntington. We lunched, drank wine and visited their excellent wine shop. We then went to Justin and Lorraine's home, settled in, and relaxed. Lorraine made Thai food for dinner (yum!) and we played a rousing game of Cards Against Humanity. We love Lorraine and Justin; they are so friendly and welcoming, we felt right at home.
On Saturday, we were all excited for the highlight of our visit--luncheon at Midsummer House, a 2 Michelin starred restaurant in Cambridge, the best Cambridge has to offer
. Yes, we ate all afternoon, literally. We arrived at Midsummer House around 1 PM and didn't leave until about 5 PM. We have lots of pictures of the food, but before you look at them, here is the menu--all ten courses.
