Moretonhampstead- Dartmoor, United Kingdom
Walked to a different bus stop and had a Full English breakfast along the way. 10:15 and men were already drinking in the Sawyer's Arms. I may have to return to find out what 2 mini corns on cobs for 99p. (maybe pickled?)

Words can't describe the views on the way to and in Dartmoor . One guidebook describes it as 365 square miles of raw granite, barren bogland, grassland and heather-strewn moor. I visited Moretonhampstead, a village of 1,500, similar in population to Lakewood, but there are a lot of homes in town. My favorite craft shop was Bellacouche Felt, housed in a former church. The artist was selling slippers, tea cozies, tuffets (as in "Little Miss Muffet", and felt body bags for burials. I saw a woman walking 2 dachshunds (like my grand dog Arlo). There were some stautes of local animals and birds and some other nice 3-D wall art. It was fun watching the dogs and owners in the village green. The golden building is the library, open only about 6 hours per week and might be closed due to budget cuts.

I have been setting alarms so that I don't miss the last bus. Yesterday the driver left Plymouth 3 minutes ahead of schedule.

I rested at the library and uploaded some photos to the blog. I was energized to take the ghost tour of Exeter. There were 15 in the group. At one stop the guide pointed at me and said that on that spot Agnes Prest was burned at the stake in the 1500's. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnes_Prest
Saw a skeleton in a pub basement. As the tour was ending it started to sprinkle. (Maybe we disturbed the 1/4 or 1/2 million souls that were buried in the Cathedral yard.
