April 24: Fly Uluru to Sydney, taxi to Hotel Stamford near airport, which is convenient since we are flying home early tomorrow morning.
April 25: Breakfast Buffet at hotel not so good--very basic, limited selection, terrible coffee.
Quantas-American Airlines were very helpful assisting us with computer baggage check and seats. Lucked out and had three window seats together. Eight-hour layover in Dallas. Thanks to our travel agent for the day pass at the American Lounge; passed the time in comfort!
TRIP COMMENTS
Combining a cruise with a few extra weeks of traveling on our own was a great way to maximize the areas we could see of this huge continent.
Chose Oceania Cruise because it went all the way around Australia and was such an easy way to see so many different cities. Saw a little bit of a lot of places. The food, service, people, and tours were so much better than anticipated. Highly Recommend this Cruise!!
Traveling on our own is always a preference; preferably in an rv. However, it was more cost effective to rent a car and fly to the several areas we wanted to spend more time. Much prefer following our own itinerary than going on a tour bus. Made all the reservations prior to the trip and everything went according to plan. Next time, we would do the cruise last--pampered traveling spoiled us.
So many wonderful experiences and people made this a FABULOUS TRIP!!
