Aranwa Hotel

Stayed at the Aranwa Hotel for 3 nights. Should have stayed another night just to spend an entire day here enjoying the grounds.

Idyllic location on the lands of an old 17th-century colonial hacienda along the Vilcanota riverbank.

Much more than a hotel since it incorporated buildings from the original hacienda, even a Chapel.
Fantastic amenities: Swimming pool, hot tub, museum, spa, water flowing in and around the "Disney-like" manicured gardens with llamas, parrots, peacocks, humming birds. A small theater showed movies at night complete with fresh popcorn.

Every walk from the room to the main buildings was a nature experience!

Dining areas: Breakfast, dining room, 2-story bar.
Breakfast, was included and the buffet had a good selection; could also order from the menu. Ate dinners here each night since the hotel is quite far from town. All meals were very good.

Staff  absolutely fantastic. Everyone extremely helpful and friendly. The head man in the breakfast buffet would greet us by name each day.
Rooms: Quite a few different buildings; ours were at the far end of the complex. Large deluxe room. Bathroom had double sinks, separate room for toilet, separate shower and large two-person tub. Not usually tub people, but it sure felt great after days spent hiking. Especially loved the balcony overlooking a courtyard.  Usually lots of low clouds in the morning; but one day the most spectacular color at dawn-WOW!

Definitely would recommend this magical place, a great experience from the moment we arrived.
