Namaste,
I said goodbye to Sru (my friend at Gayana) and took the expressbus to Unawatuna
.
I stay in Surfcity guesthouse which is almost on the beach and is Dutch-run place. The Dutch owner is not in Sri Lanka right now but his Sri Lankan partner is very friendly.
I prefer the beach at Tangalla because it's much bigger and cleaner than this one. They are also building some guesthouses so there is a lot of noise.
I also visited Galle and and Galle fort. Most of the older buildings within the fort date from the Dutch era. Many of the streets still bear Dutch names, or are direct translations.
