Bruges-Capbis-Mifaget, France
South France - Aug 17 - 30, 1990
this year we went with the EJW and the girls to south France, close to the Spain border. In Bruges was an old mill, where we stayed.

Sunrise walk
what's better than seeing the sun rise, so all who wanted went up early, up with flash lights... since there was some clouds, we actually were not sure when the sun came and discovered that we were already back down for the sun to rise.

Exploring the area
in that hill side there is a lot to see, and our hiking group went around and discovered a lot of cool things, like old French farm houses, we found a cave and got all terribly dirty ...

Grottes de betharram
since there are some huge caves close by - a trip worth: with 5 stories and 2 km walkway underneath the earth... some huge rooms with 80 m high ceilings... you could walk, or even use a boat, we found a bell hanging from the ceiling, discovered Jean d"arc or they say that how this slagmite (or is it stalagmite) looks like, we saw a lot!!

Trip to the Pyrenean: Cirque the Gavarnie
that close to the mountains we had to do a trip to the real mountains right? and so again we are on the road up a pass and we could even sneak peak into Spain and then we ended up in the Cirque de Gavarnie a NP in the Pyrenean where we admired the 1700 m high rock wall
