Around Corsica`s Mountains - Oct 15
today we dropped off Andi and his surf board on the beach - because we found the perfect beach for him ....
and we 4: Saddy, Dani, Petra & I went on our trip around the mountain terrain of Corsica: the Calanche.
we were out of luck for our lunch, because from 12.00-15.30 all bakeries are closed. So we passed one herd of goats twice and finally arrived in the Calanche
1) the sun was gone
2) it went 30 km of curves up t the Col der Verghol where it had only 6 C
3) then it goes down 30 km pass the Spa Regina
that is 4 hours driving curves - so it was no wonder that Petra said she needs to empty her stomach.... so always the one of us girls who felt the worse was allowed to sit in the front... And Saddy started to drive like he has a car full of eggs.....

- we had a lot of cool view points
- we got a WPB = wild pinkel Bild at the pinochia
- we made pictures which could become advertisement pictures for Opel
- we had lunch on a parking lot: sitting on cement at 3.30 pm
- sometimes we thought we are in a one-way street, because the road was so narrow and you wonder what happens if another vehicle comes
- it was a shame that the weather was not the greatest, so we couldn`t totally appreciate all the colored moutains
- we saw a lot of animals: pigs, goats, chickens
- we really likes the Santa Regine
And Andi`s comment when we came back: today it was like when you have fresh powder snow and you are on the very best run!!

today we wanted to check out some mountain villages:
Pigna: was a little artist town and is Petra`s favourite village
Kloster Corbara: originally built in the 15th century by the Franziskaner monks, it got destroyed and rebuilt in 1856 - which was a nearly empty church
Sant Antonia: like an eagles nest on top of a hill
a dog with a glass eye was our companion during lunch and overall we were very happy, that we brought our winter jackets - and everywhere we encountered those great views on the ocean
