one week at the coast: summer - sun - sand & and lot of relaxing and fun...
we booked a cottage and had fun for a whole week

France - Kerni enjoying the sunand since soon after it was my birthday: I got for my 30th birthday 30 photo cards from our France vacation from Annie and Kerni....
and what happened during our vacation:
  • a lot of beach time: daily - since the house was close to the beach
  • a lot of sleeping in: and if needed we continued it on the beach
  • a lot of relaxing
  • a lot of fun
  • a lot of jumping in the waves 
  • a lot of playing in the sand and burying each other
  • a lot of rocks, waves, sand and wind
  • a lot of sun burns
  • a lot of home cooking
  • a lot of trying out new dishes: like collecting clams and boiling them in water and wine and then hope that is gourmet cooking - ok depends on whom you ask
  • a lot of bein active:
  • a lot of jumping into the waves
  • a lot of trying our French language knowledge
  • a lot of exploring

since you shouldn't always stay in one spot we went for a day to explore the atlantic coast:
  • to discover some tourist beaches....
  • we found a road: which is only drivable during low tide: during high tide it is water... so you check on the tide table sign... and see there we are ready to drive through the ocean
  • we discover some wonderful windy beaches and admire the rocks
  • we found an old bridge: at least only half was left
  • when enjoying the rocky coast we saw a natural bridge... and our guys: Klaus & Saddy had to walk on it... good thing they were not to heavy it's still there
  • we found a windmill: and Gine loves them so we had to stop
  • the nice rocks invited us for photo sessions
  • we visited some old graves from the huenen graves: ok so it sounded like we find some huge rocks and I said they will be amazing: ok we found some smaller rocks and Saddy was not too impressed that we had to stop
  • driving through the ocean is ok - being stuck in the sand is a challenge for Saddy's Golf
And since all good things come to an end....we had to leave the sunny coast: and since we will drive by Paris: Saddy, Klaus, Dani and I decided that we need a stopover.....
