since you can't stay in one place only and it is always important to explore, we started right away a trip around the island:
What's to interesting about Corsica?
- it belongs to France, but it has an agreement and is more independent then every other region in France
- from 1755-1769 Corsica was actually independent until it was conquered by France
- because of it's close historical ties to Italy, it has a lot of Italian customs, the native Corsican language is related to Italian
- Napoleon was born in Corsica in 1769
- Corsica was formed 250 Mill years ago with an uplift of a granite backbone and 2/3 of the island: a single chain of mountains
- it's the 4th largest island in the Mediterranean (after Sicilia, Sardinia & Cypress)
- with 1000 km of coastline and 200 beaches perfect for us
Ajaccio on the way to Ajaccio wie saw some "needle mountains" - ok so this is my own creation but that's how they look like.
Then more history came: Napoleons birth house, a Napoleon statue... when walking along, it looks like Andi was in a super hurry or maybe it was his lack of interest.

then we drive out of town and find the best spot for an overnight stay, directly on the ocean with a view on a lighthouse and the weather was warm too....
"no the water is not cold - we are hardy people"
Good Morning Sunshine
And in the morning "What it is already time to get up?" - breakfast on the ocean
afterward we climb up to the tower, it was so amazing here.
then we continue along the ocean and once in a while we stop and enoy the waves and the rocks: Sometimes you could sit or stand for hours and only be amazed on how beautiful it is here`- and once in a while you had to be careful, that the wind didn`t blow you away`.
and when you see how far apart Andi and Saddy can sit you think `Do they still have anything to say to each other``

when we went into the water, there were quit some waves - so every time the wave hit us, little pebbles went into the swimming suit (very comfy :-) ) - and to be upright was not that simple either.

we stop at one of those cool bridges and right near it was a passage you could drive through the water - really cool. So best would be if it is dry and you can drive there, which it was not. We that means Andi is the driver drives through it either way, because it was too tight to turn around. And as nice as I was I went out and walked back by foot... and nearly landed in the water.`
And then `Yes I would like to take here another picture``
