It was a bit emotional leaving England yesterday. Saying goodbye to everyone and heading off for 4months, whilst only having 4hours sleep the night before was a weird experience.

My first hour in the airport felt a bit strange but after I went through security I felt excited again. I even purchased a bottle of martel for the flight (lol)

 

 


 

As I sat down in seat 85D (made of carbon fibre!) I couldn't help but smile as everything was ticked off and I was about to fly out. I didn't want to be anywhere else.


 

The flight was good. The A380 is amazingly, you don't even feel like your ascending or descending, except the pressure in your ears. They have a camera mounted on the tail so you can actually watch take off on your personal screen in front of you.   

 
 
 

 

Quantas know how to look after you. Free alcohol, 3 course meal for dinner and breakfast, free snacks and soft drinks, and endless films/tv shows/documentaries to watch.

Checked into my hostel, its nice, free wifi and nice and clean. In my dorm room there are 2 guys from Korea, 1 guy from China and 1 lady from Switzerland who is a travel writer. The hostel is over 2 floors and they ask everyone to take shoes off at the lift, lol
 

Been out for a beer to watch the last set of the murray vs djokovic match. Looked like a great game, shame murray lost tho.
