LARNACA MARINA AND THE COLONIAL PIER

Just opposite the colonial buildings of Europe Square is the entrance of the Marina, which was built in the early 1970's .

It used to be a port back in 1879, constructed by the British.

The walk on the Pier is a traditional social activity of the people of Larnaca.

All organized mini cruises in the Larnaca Bay, to Agia Napa and Protaras areas start from here where you can choose a glass bottom boat to enjoy the deep or you can charter your own yacht for a day cruise of your choice.

Submarine underwater mini cruises are also popular here, as the Larnaca Bay is full of smaller and bigger wrecks, the most famous being the Zenovia.

ENJOYING THE SUN!

The day is beautiful, and as I try to take pictures, I walk up the marina.

This walk brings nostalgic memories. I long back to those days when young, and the times I had been up here either with friends or my parents. Walking up and down as it is the custom even these days.
